The Agency Property Group Celebrates One Year!

Category press release

In October 2018, Kyle Leigh, Simony Santos and Lynn Pinn decided it was time for a change, time for a fresh, new approach in the Real Estate industry, and time to fulfill their purpose.

The decision to launch The Agency Property Group would inject a breath of fresh air into the industry, with a focus on a lean, mobile approach to the team, and a personalized work ethic that would place more emphasis on the consumer's needs.

One year on, the dream has been realized, and the trio are now able to look back positively on the boutique-style agency's first year and, perhaps more importantly, look forward to building on their success.

A massively positive reception

Although it was a challenge initially to gain traction, particularly in a market dominated by bigger agencies, the reception to the company has been overwhelmingly positive. Lynn admits that they have been 'punching above their weight' from the start, with both her and Simony fielding calls alongside the bigger agencies in the industry.

Not really surprising when you consider the experience - and credibility - that Pinn and Santos bring to the table. Their own personal brands have certainly helped The Agency to compete with the bigger, more established agencies.

"If you look at how many agencies are operating on the Atlantic Seaboard, and how we are being mentioned in the same breath by the consumer, that's a huge achievement," acknowledges Leigh.

"But I think that speaks to the credibility of Lynn - who has over 20 years in the business - and Simony - who has more than 10 years of operating in the market."

A new brand brings a new approach

The Agency Property Group, of course, was born out of an idea to breathe some fresh air into the industry and they have stuck to that approach in their first year of operations. No office, no desk-bound agents, and a better commission-structure aimed at breeding pro-active agents operating like entrepreneurs.

All three of the founders have firmly bought into this idea and while they have kept things very lean on the sales front - with Pinn and Santos focusing purely on the Atlantic Seaboard - the aim is now to grow the team by bringing in likeminded agents.

"To be an agent, you need to be an entrepreneur, you need to control your time, know when to work, when to have fun... you cannot have somebody on your back chasing you," says Santos.

"Kyle always says 'just say yes' and that is something we have applied to how we balance our days. We are always networking and we have the freedom to work pro-actively. We are not bound to a desk and that has granted us a huge amount of flexibility - it's been massively positive for us as a business," says Pinn.

Leigh concurs with the outlook.

"We want to empower our agents. We don't want them to clock-watch. We want them to feel empowered and to take control of their own time."

Way forward

With a successful first year behind them, the founders of the group are now looking forward to growing the business further, mindful of the fact that they do not want to become just another agency in a market dominated by monolithic entities that seldom consider the consumers.

"Our next steps are to grow the business," says Leigh.

"We have been very focused on building the brand, putting the foundations in place, getting the systems right, so that we can start growing our team. We wanted to make sure that when we grow the team, not only do we bring in the best agents, but that we give them the best chance of success and give The Agency the best chance of success."
