Waterfront at a glance
Based in South Africa's oldest working harbour, the V&A Waterfront is Africa's most visited destination. Yet, with unrivalled retail experiences, a myriad of restaurants and bars to choose from, sunset cruises, helicopter-flips and more on offer, it is not hard to understand why!
The V&A Marina was completed in 2009, and is the most established residential complex at the V&A, consisting of 515 residential units across 17 buildings, with over 200 boat moorings. All the units are based on the water's edge and are within short walking distance to the main centre.
Shopping
The V&A boasts more than 500 retail stores, a vibey food market and much more. If you can't find it here, chances are it doesn't exist... yet.
Restaurants and bars
The Waterfront has more than 85 restaurants to choose from, ranging from upmarket eateries to takeaway options. If you're looking for something to wet your whistle, the V&A has something for all types, from pints at Ferryman's to fine whisky at Bascule Bar at the Cape Grace Hotel.
Schools
Ellerton and Sea Point Primary and High Schools are all good options, while the private school, Reddam House, is based in nearby Green Point.
Hospitals
New Somerset Hospital is close by, while the Sea Point Medical Centre, Cape Town Mediclinic and Christian Barnard Hospital in the Cape Town City Centre are all easily accessible by car.
