Bakoven

Just 10-minutes away from Camps Bay, this sought-after little piece of heaven manages to exude a charming village vibe, despite boasting some of the most beautiful and impressive properties in Cape Town. The name is Dutch in origin, meaning 'baking oven, but never fear, because the only thing that sizzles here are the sunset views. 

Exclusive by nature, Bakoven is close enough to the summer-set vibes of Camps Bay, but just far away enough to keep out the noise. The beach at Bakoven is small, but superb, and perfect for sundowners, with its small coves protecting you from the wind and the ocean a stone's throw from your feet.

Bakoven provides you with the feeling that you are miles from the city, with its sheltered bungalows creating a sense of glorious seclusion, while knowing that everything you need is just 10-15 minutes away. 

Bantry Bay

A favourite holiday-hideaway for both locals and foreigners alike, Bantry Bay is quite possibly one of the most sought-after neighbourhoods in Cape Town. 

Located between Sea Point and Clifton, Bantry Bay boasts impressive properties - ranging from gorgeous penthouse apartments to stylish mansions - that sit perched on the slopes of Lion's Head, with unparalleled views of the Atlantic Ocean.

The area is also sheltered from the notorious Cape Town South Easter that blows in summers, with Bantry Bay enjoying 290 wind-free days per year!

Camps Bay

Think Venice Beach in an African setting, with the iconic Table Mountain as a backdrop and the Atlantic Ocean on your doorstep, the scenery in Camps Bay is quite simply breath-taking. Victoria Road is the pulse of this neighbourhood, a Palm Tree-lined hub of activity, with a vibrant sprawl of trendy restaurants and bars. 

In summer, the strip is a hive of activity from morning till night, with holiday-makers and locals taking advantage of the Mediterranean-like weather, pristine white beaches and entertainment. Properties range from sprawling villas built further up the slopes of Table Mountain to luxury apartments perfect for beach holiday.

Cape Town / City Bowl

The Cape Town City Centre has undergone a remarkable turnaround over the past decade, with a large number of young professionals moving back into the city's residential areas. The Central City Improvement District (CCID) has done an incredible job since taking on the unenviable task of cleaning up the CBD, with crime down 90% - a rare feat in any global city!

With most urban home-buyers opting for property in the city centre due to the close proximity to work, there is also a tangible vibe in the Mother City CBD. With an abundance of coffee shops, restaurants and bars, and a burgeoning art scene, living in the city has plenty to offer besides just ease of commute. 

Clifton

Largely touted as Cape Town's most affluent suburb, with glorious beaches and the Atlantic Ocean literally on its doorstep, Clifton is the epitome of luxury living.

Famous for its four pristine beaches - Clifton 1-4 - the neighbourhood is a small, tranquil piece of paradise, located between Sea Point and Camps Bay. With properties hugging the cliffs or built bordering the beach, there is mix of quaint bungalows, modest beach houses and beautiful mansions.

A favourite summer destination for locals - and visiting holiday-makers - Clifton is a hive of activity during the day, but is not as densely populated as the neighbouring Camps Bay, making it less crowded during the summer months. 

De Waterkant

This popular sub-district of Green Point is a stylish, vibey neighbourhood close to the Cape Town City centre and historic Bo-Kaap area. 

One of Cape Town's trendiest areas, De Waterkant is jam-packed with restaurants, bars and shops and is popular with the gay community in the Mother City. While small, the area is well served with its own lifestyle centre, The Cape Quarter, which has a number of restaurants and an upmarket grocery store.

Fresnaye

One of Cape Town's most exclusive neighbourhoods, Fresnaye is well-known for its stylish, upmarket properties cut into the slope of the mountain, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

With its shelter from the wind, sweeping views and gorgeous sunsets, Fresnaye is also an outdoor enthusiast's dream location, with a number of hiking trails and pristine white beaches just a stone's throw away.

Green Point

Green Point is a popular area among young professionals working in the city, with the CBD and De Waterkant district located five minutes away. 

The main stretch, Somerset Road, is a hub of activity, with a number or restaurants, bars and clubs based here, while the Cape Town Stadium - built for the 2010 Football World Cup - often hosts live events, including local football matches and concerts.

There is also plenty for young families to enjoy, with the Green Point Urban Park a wonderful setting for kids and parents, and the Sea Point Promenade a favourite stretch to walk - or cycle - with the Atlantic Ocean alongside.

Mouille Point

With unrivalled views of the Atlantic Ocean, incredible sunsets and a fresh sea breeze, Mouille Point is one of Cape Town's most undervalued gems.

The Mouille Point lighthouse is an iconic piece of architecture, while the Sea Point Promenade runs through the neighbourhood, making it the perfect place for young families to enjoy the outdoors, while still being close to the city. 

Sea Point

Sea Point is close enough to the Cape Town city centre to feed of its hustle and bustle, but far enough away to escape the noise that can come with city living. The sea air and gulls flying overhead are constant reminders that while the CBD is not far off, the Atlantic Ocean is even closer, making Sea Point an ideal locale.

The Sea Point Promenade is ever-popular with young families looking for a day out, runners training for marathons or just looking to get some fresh air, while the Sea Point Pavilion pool is a hub of activity in summer.

Regent Road, however, has become the pulse of this neighbourhood with the once secluded street now home to some of the city's best restaurants and eateries, including the award-winning La Mouette.

Three Anchor Bay

Based on the slopes of Signal Hill, Three Anchor Bay is an upmarket suburb sitting between Sea Point and Green Point, and just 10 minutes from the CBD.

Three Anchor Bay's small, yet gorgeous, little beach is real gem, and a favourite launching spot for local kayakers.

V&A Waterfront.

Based in South Africa's oldest working harbour, the V&A Waterfront is Africa's most visited destination. Yet, with unrivalled retail experiences, a myriad of restaurants and bars to choose from, sunset cruises, helicopter-flips and more on offer, it is not hard to understand why! 

The V&A Marina was completed in 2009, and is the most established residential complex at the V&A, consisting of 515 residential units across 17 buildings, with over 200 boat moorings. All the units are based on the water's edge and are within short walking distance to the main centre.
